They can think of something that sounds cool, and give that name to their application; or they can think of what the application does and name it accordingly. The FileStream Inc-developed application ConcordFTP manages to blend these two categories. The 'Concord' part sounds cool, while the 'FTP' part sheds some light on what the application is.

What is ConcordFTP? Well, as the name so adequately points out, this application is a FTP client. A FPT client that has the following to offer:

- Access control over all electronic transfers
- Manage server files and folders
- Secure transfer over SSL connections and secure AES encrypted storage
- Schedule backup transfers
- Work with remote servers as easily as you would with local disks.
- Customizable interface.
- Can be used as a standalone FTP client or as a workgroup FTP client with centralized management control functions.

Download – the download weighs in at 3.8MB, which is good news. It means it will only take a moment to get ConcordFTP off the web and onto your computer.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, ConcordFTP provides support for Windows 2000, 2003 Server, XP, Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions).
Limitations – you can use ConcordFTP free of charge for a trial period of 30 days. Once that trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using the application.
